Shopping mall De Meent in Papendrecht has a commercial surface area of ± 20.000 m² spread out over two floors. De shopping mall contains a varied retail mix, with 2 grocery stores, a good representation of nationwide retail chains, catering , local retail merchants and support of service providing stores. The design is intersected by the public shopping promenade where the shopping public can reach the second floor by means of escalators, elevators and staircases. Almost all stores are accessible from the shopping street. On top of the shopping mall, 147 apartments are located on three floors around “green” roof gardens, with a residential tower at the Veerweg. These residences are accessible through centrally located staircases and elevators.
